As the Senior Claim’s Representative for TNRMT, Debra investigates and handles bodily injury claims and assists retained defense attorneys with their representation of our members in all types of lawsuits.
Debra’s insurance career began in 1993 when she first moved to Tennessee when her husband’s work brought them here. She began working with Gallagher Bassett Services as a receptionist in early 1993. By 1995, she was handling auto accident, bodily injury, and property damage claims primarily for school systems and government entities in Tennessee.
Debra enjoyed handling claims and decided to focus her education on insurance. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on insurance and finance from Middle Tennessee State University. Debra and her husband moved back to Alabama in the early 2000’s, and while living there she earned a Master’s of Science Degree in legal studies. She also obtained an Advanced Paralegal Certificate from Auburn University in Montgomery, and spent several years working as a paralegal/secretary in a law firm in Montgomery. When the opportunity to move back to Tennessee and handle claims for TNRMT presented itself in 2012, Debra was very excited to get back to the career that she most enjoyed.
