How We Do Loss Control

The Tennessee Risk Management Trust (TNRMT) started its Loss Control services in 1989. Our loss control specialists, along with TNRMT’s technical staff, are very knowledgeable in the fields of governmental operations, school operations, and the types of risks associated with these public entities.

Our loss control department will conduct regular audits, training meetings, safety inspections, and loss analysis. The efforts of our loss control department not only help control loss exposure, but provide an excellent educational resource for your entity’s staff. TNRMT’s loss control staff places great emphasis on safety training in order to help mitigate losses. We value member input to our loss control program very highly, as our loss control programs is highly adaptable to each member’s unique needs.

In addition, TNRMT annually accepts applications for the Safety Grant and Scholarship program. TNRMT has partnered with its members for years to assist in funding the purchase of equipment and providing education for employees’ safety needs. Entities often lack funding for important safety items and as such we hope to change cultures and save lives.
