Named as Director of Schools in 2017, Tim has spent nearly 40 in public education in the Trenton Special School District. He started his career there in 1984 as a science teacher and a football and basketball coach. As the head coach in 1991, he led them to their first ever playoff birth.
In 1996, Tim transitioned into administration and served as Assistant Principal and Principal within TSSD. In 2015, he was nominated for Principal of the Year Award and advanced to the final three.
As Director at TSSD, he has focused districtwide on facility improvements and CTE/STEM emphasis. In 2021, the new multipurpose indoor facility was open and the TSSD School Board honored Tim by naming it after him.
Tim is a graduate of Milan High School, Dyersburg State Community College, and the University of Tennessee at Martin. He played collegiate baseball at both institutions and was named a captain of the 1983 UTM squad. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy, since 1984. They have two children, Elizabeth and Gunner.
